Taiwan, under the silent invasion from the 2003 SARS epidemic. A hospital in Taipei was forcefully sealed off with its 1500 staff and patients trapped inside due to the unnecessary political fights between the national and municipal governments. Dr. Lo Shih-kai and His fiancée, Dr. Chen Yu-Mei were caught in the middle of the political turmoil surrounding the hasty decision of collective quarantine. The couple soon discovered that they were not only fighting the virus, but also the dark side of humanity. Trapped in between the bitter situation in the public health frontline and politicians’ ignorance, will they be able to return to home safely?

Amid the rapid spreading of the SARS epidemic in China, Taiwan was excluded from the World Health Organization.
Despite facing information asymmetry and being ignored internationally, the outstanding medical and public health services still allowed Taiwan to maintain the incredible record of [zero SARS-infected case] during the early waves of the SARS epidemic.
Nonetheless, this proud record of our public health system soon lost in vein due to human reactions based on fear, selfishness and ignorance.
